Basic Function
Responsible for the coordination and implementation of promotional and marketing activities relating to METRO's internal and external marketing and communication efforts. Performs duties in a safe, efficient manner and in compliance with all applicable rules and safety procedures.
Responsibilities and Specific Duties
- Works with various METRO departments and teams to coordinate their promotional activities to include event planning and promotional items.
- Assists in the development of marketing campaign strategies and research activities.
- Fills out and submits insertion orders for print and radio media as directed.
- Responsible for negotiated print related media buys as assigned and maintains a good working relationship with the client.
- Communicates client objectives to media ad creative personnel such as graphic designers, copywriters and other team members.
- Acts as liaison for the client, builds strong relationships with production team, creative group, research teams, press office and agency business personnel using online and social media.
- Reviews market research information to evaluate and adjust campaigns.
- Develops and coordinates promotional and marketing activities including special events, joint or partnership promotions and employee-related campaigns.
- Coordinates personnel, contractors, internal/external partners related to the implementation of marketing projects and promotional campaigns. Responsibilities include overseeing design, materials and production management.
- Establishes schedules for the execution of marketing projects and promotional campaigns.
- Track progress and keeps team and clients informed and performs the project management tasks required to ensure that campaigns are successfully completed, on time and on budget.
- Assists in the creation and recording of METRO’s marketing videos, radio commercials and instructional collateral.
- Attends internal and external meetings representing METRO’s marketing efforts and fosters a positive image.
- Provides excellent customer service to METRO internal and external customers.
- Promotes safety awareness and follows safety procedures in an effort to reduce or eliminate accidents
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Education Requirement
Bachelors’ degree in Marketing, Communications or related degree is required.
Years & Experience Required
Minimum five (5) years’ professional level experience in Marketing is required. Media buying experience is preferred.
Knowledge & Skills Required
Knowledge of marketing programs, promotional activities and special event coordination required. Must have the ability to find and negotiate trades and partnerships. Strong organizational skills with the ability to independently manage multiple projects or campaigns is required.
